Welcome to Tropmet | Photography. My name is Michael Laca, I am a native South Floridian and veteran storm chaser. My passion for photography and videography of hurricanes, severe weather and nature has only grown stronger over the last 25 years. In that time, I have been fortunate enough to experience some of the most incredible and awe-inspiring natural phenomema our planet has to offer.

When I'm not chasing storms, I spend a lot of time photographing the natural environment, wildlife and landscapes, especially around my home state of Florida. I also enjoy documenting local attractions and historical landmarks.

My photography and videography have appeared in numerous texts, magazines, advertisements, television programs, marketing campaigns and other media including: Weatherwise, The Smithsonian, National Geographic, The Weather Channel, Duracell and many others.
